How to worship Saligramas? - In Vedic tradition, to make a meaningful and happy life, human beings must complete 4 goals, and this motto is also known as “Purusartha” in the Sanskrit language. The term “Purus” means rational beings and “Aartha” denotes Aim. Simply, those four goals are Dharma (ethics, duty, and religion), Aartha (Finance, wealth), Kaama (pleasure, love, work, sex) and Moksha (Nirvana and or Liberation). Worshiping of Shree Shaligram is highly recommended to achieve all those targets. However, we can see that many people don’t try to balance and follow the ancient rules which were given by great Saints to make a worry-free life.

So, while praying focusing only on “Aartha” and “Kama” is not considered as a good practice, trying to keep balance among all those mentioned steps are only the right way to attain peace and happy life. I mean, selfishness and greediness make the story of “King Midas and gold”, you know he got powerful boon but of worthless. Anyway, be calm, think positive and never try for the negative procedure. Worshipping real Shaligram stone means you are praying to Lord Bishnu. Normally fresh tulsi (Basil leaf) is vital, without it you are just wasting your time and Shankha (counch shell), bell etc. are the plus point which can be placed close to the Shaligram.

Daily adoration with clean body and heart is required to get utmost advantages from lord-Shaligram Stone. Try to be vegetarian, if you can’t just avoid non-veg items from morning to till the afternoon of each day. Otherwise, if some of your family members are vegan, encourage them to worship, so that it will be good for the whole family. If you are unable to worship Shila, simply remember and do salutation (Pranam) to him every day. Furthermore, it is also said that it will be far better if you can avoid Garlic, onion etc. at least for a few days because such stuff can increase libido, consequently, people can’t focus on Puja.

There are many ways to worship Shaligram Shila, on the other hand, we are in the 21st century so being in busy lifestyle many peoples do prefer short and sweet style. Anyway, Salagramas usually do not need preparatory rituals for installation. Because it holds the characteristics of divine nature, and so you can worship right away. Simply, no need to summon veteran priest or expert for setting up, if you prefer you can call them too. A summarized version of basic formalities is prescribed below.

Take an early bath in morning. Clean the prayer room and vessels. Make sure you are not facing sound pollution. Illuminate the lamp or Joss stick (Agarbatti). Start off the puja by facing east direction and reciting few Dhyan Shlokas. Chant mantra (scroll down for powerful-mantras) go along with a sacred soak (Abhisekh) to the Shila with Ganga-jal or pure raw milk of local cow, even rose-water is also ok. Next, wipe the Shila with a soft cloth or wash it with pure water and again place it on the vessel. Decorate it with some sandal paste as a ‘Tilak’ and offer fresh flowers, Tulsi leaf or you can encircle a tulsi-rosary around Sri Shaligrama Sila. Now, light the lamp and rotate it in a clockwise direction by chanting slokas.

Offer some sacraments (Prasad) to Bhagawan Narayana, Offering could be raw rice blended with ghee, milk rice, naivedam, sweets etc. Finalise the puja with the camphor (Kapoor) and or Agarbatti flame. Prostrate towards Shaligram and ask from the inner core of your heart as you wish. Likewise, “oh lord, please forgive me if I did any sin knowingly unknowingly, show mercy on my effort and help me to point out the right path so that I can achieve a success in my life”. ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಕುರಿತ ಮಾಹಿತಿ:

ನೇಪಾಳದ ಹಿಮಾಲಯ ಪರ್ವತದ ತಪ್ಪಲಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುವ ಕಾಲಿ-ಗಂಡಕಿ ನದಿ ಸಮೀಪ ಶಾಲಗ್ರಾಮ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳ ಇದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಕಲ್ಲು ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮದ ರೂಪ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಆ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶಾಲಗ್ರಾಮ ಶಿಲಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. 

ಗಂಡಕಿ ನದಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ **ಮುಕ್ತಿನಾಥ ಮತ್ತು ದಾಮೋದರ **ಕುಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ನದಿಯ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಶಿಲೆ ಯಥೇಚ್ಛವಾಗಿ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕಲ್ಲು 'ವಜ್ರ ಕೀಟ' ಎಂಬ ಹುಳುವಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ತಾಣ. ವಜ್ರದ ಹಲ್ಲು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಈ ಕೀಟ, ಕಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಸಣ್ಣ ರಂಧ್ರ ಕೊರೆದು ಒಳ ಸೇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಳಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಕೊರೆಯುವುದರಿಂದ ಚಕ್ರದ ರೀತಿಯ ಕೆತ್ತನೆ ಮೂಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಕೀಟ ಸ್ರವಿಸುವ ದ್ರವದಿಂದ ಚಿನ್ನ ಉತ್ಪತ್ತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದುವೇ ಅಸಲಿ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗಂಡಕಿ ನದಿಯ ಆಳವಾದ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿರುವ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವೇ ಅಸಲಿ ಎಂಬ ನಂಬುಗೆಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಪಾಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಡಿದ, ನಕಲಿ ರೇಖೆ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮಗಳು ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ಗದ ದರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಅಸಲಿ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಜ್ಞರಿಂದಲಷ್ಟೇ ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಭಕ್ತರು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಚ್ಚರ ವಹಿಸಿಬೇಕು. ಅಸಲಿ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಉತ್ತಮ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವು ಶುಭಕಾರಕ.

ಶಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಶಿಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಚನೆ, ವಂದನೆ, ದಾನ, ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ ಪರಮಾತ್ಮನ ದರ್ಶನಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಕೋಟಿಗುಣ ಅಧಿಕ ಫಲವು ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. 

ಶಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಪುರುಷಸೂಕ್ತದಿಂದ ಪೂಜಿಸಬೇಕು. ಯಾವನು ಶಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮದ ಶಿಲೆಯ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರಾದ್ಧವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆಯೋ, ಅವನ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಗಯಾ ಶ್ರಾದ್ಧಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಅನಂತ ತೃಪ್ತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಜಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಹವನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಪೂಜಿಸಿದ್ದು ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಕಲ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ ಶಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ ಶಿಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋಟಿಗುಣಫಲವು ಎಂದು "ವಾಶಿಷ್ಟ ಸಂಹಿತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ" ಉಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.🏹

ಇದನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಯಾಗಿ ಅಭ್ಯುದಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕಪ್ಪುಬಣ್ಣದ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸುವುದೇ ಜಾಸ್ತಿ. ಇದನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸಿದರೆ ಬಣ್ಣ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಸ್ಕಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಪದ್ಮ ಪುರಾಣದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರೆ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥ ಸಿದ್ಧಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪತ್ನಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ, ಶಾಂತಿ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರ ನೀರಿನ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶದಿಂದ ಚಿಂತೆ, ಒತ್ತಡ, ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಕಲ ಇಚ್ಛೆಗಳೂ ಪೂರೈಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿವ್ಯಶಕ್ತಿ ಇದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪದಾರ್ಥ ಸೇವಿಸಿದರೆ (ಹಾಲು, ಮೊಸರು, ನೀರು ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ) ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯಾವಾಗಿ ಗುಂಡಗೆ ಇರುವ ಈ ಶಿಲೆ, ನಾನಾ ಆಕಾರದಲ್ಲೂ ಸಿಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕ್ರಮ:

ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಒಂದು ಬಾರಿ ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯ ಮಾಡಲೇಬೇಕು. ಅಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಾದರೆ(ಸೂತಕಾದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ) ಅಕ್ಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಡಬೇಕು. ಆ ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಮುಗ್ಗಲು ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆಯಾ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತಿರಬೇಕು. ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡದೆ, ದುರಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮತ್ತು ಮೈಲಿಗೆಯಾದವರು ಇದನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಬಾರದು. ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಡಬಾರದು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿತ್ತಾಳೆ, ತಾಮ್ರ ಅಥವಾ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಕರಂಡಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಇಡಬೇಕು. ಇದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನರ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ವ್ಯಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರವರ ಧರ್ಮಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಪೂಜಿಸಬಹುದು. ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮವನ್ನು ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಇಟ್ಟು ಪೂಜಿಸಬಹುದು. ಒಂದು ಪೂಜಿಸುವುದು ತುಂಬಾ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು.🏹

೫. ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ, ಮಂಗಳವಾರಗಳಂದು ದೇವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಇತರೆ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಶುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ..

೬. ಮನೆಯ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲನ್ನು ಕಸದ ಪೊರಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡಿಸಬೇಡಿ..

೭. ಪ್ರತಿ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಆರತಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಪಾನಕ, ಕೋಸಂಬರಿ ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿ..

೯. ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಇದ್ದರೆ ೧ ಸೇರು ಅನ್ನವನ್ನು ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ..

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಬಾ ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿ..

೧೦. ದೇವರ ಪೂಜಾ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಗೆದಿರುವ ಶುದ್ಧ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೇ ಧರಿಸಿ, ಶ್ವೇತ ವರ್ಣದ ಪಂಚೆ-ಶಲ್ಯ ತುಂಬಾ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ..

೧೧. ದೇವರ ಪೂಜಾ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕಳಿಕೆ ಬಂದು ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡೋದು, ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡೋದು, ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ,ನಿರ್ಮಾಲ್ಯ ತೆಗೆಯದೆ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡೋದು ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ..

ಭಿನ್ನವಾದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ, ದೇವರ ಪೂಜಾ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಬೇಡಿ..

೧೩. ದುರ್ಗಂಧ ಪುಷ್ಪ, ನಿರ್ಗಂಧ ಪುಷ್ಪ ಪೂಜೆಗೆ ಬಳಸಬೇಡಿ..

೧೩. ಹಸೀ ಹಾಲನ್ನೇ ದೇವರ ಪೂಜೆಗೆ ಬಳಸಿ..

೧೪. ದೇವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಕ್ಕೆ ಇಡುವ ಹೂವು ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅರಳಿರಲಿ, ತೊಟ್ಟು ತೆಗೆದು ದೇವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಡಿ..

೧೫. ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ಮಾಡೋವಾಗ ಪಾನಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಬದಲು ಜೇನುತುಪ್ಪ ಹಾಕಿದರೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಫಲಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ..

೧೬. ಪೂರ್ಣಫಲ ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವುದು ತುಂಬಾ ವಿಶೇಷ ಫಲವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವುದು, ಸಕಲ ಕಾರ್ಯ ವಿಜಯವಾಗುವುದು.. ,ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಭಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಆಗುತ್ತವೆ..

೧೭. ಗಂಡಸರು ಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಯದೇ ಪೂಜೆ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಪೂಜಾ ಫಲವೆಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಕ್ಷಸರ ಪಾಲಾಗುವುದು..

೧೮. ಗರಿಕೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಗಣೇಶನ ಪೂಜೆ, ತುಳಸೀ ಇಲ್ಲದ ನೈವೇದ್ಯ, ಬಿಲ್ವಪತ್ರೆ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಅರ್ಚನೆ ಪೂಜೆಗಳು ಫಲ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ..

೧೯. ಬಲಮುರಿ ಗಣೇಶ, ಬಲಮುರಿ ಶಂಖ, ಸಾಲಿಗ್ರಾಮ, ಶ್ರೀ ಚಕ್ರ, ಎರಡೂ ಪಾದ ಕಾಣಿಸುವ ಮಹಾಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ, ಅಷ್ಟಮುಖೀ ರುದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿ, ಪಂಚಮುಖೀ ಗಾಯತ್ರೀ ದೇವಿ, ಪಂಚಮುಖಿ ಆಂಜನೇಯ.. ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ
