Procedure to visit Tirumala

as per Vijayadasaru

One should carry saligrama sampushtha while undertaking tirumala yatra

First one must stop at kapila teertha , take bath , do deva pooja , do shraddha, Bramhana daan

Reach steps to the tirumala

Keep deva sampushtha on first step

And do sashtanga namaskaar to paramatma , venkatgiri

One must arrange for harikatha here

Atleast one name of lord and its mahima one must contemplate

Climb 100 steps

At 100 th step

Keep sampushth

Namaskaar

Listen to hari mahima

Sing one song here

Do darshan of narsimha devaru

Take bath in sudarshan teertha

Clap loudly here. this clap is to assure self that all sins have vanished

Loudly talk about hari mahima

Then darshan of vayudev

Come to mahadwaar

Here one must loudly shout Hari naama

Make twelve pradakshina

Swami pushkarini snana daan

Take pradakshina to Varaha deva

Do maanas chintana of Varaha cleansing ourbody

Take a stroll on four sides of the road

Then go for darshan

Come to Garuda murty

Do anusandhaan that garuda is Dhyana abhimani devata

Pray him to give dhyana ability

Recite peeth devata mantra from here on

Once you come to bangaru bagilu golden door

Worship prarthana to give anusandhan

As you enter see lord and do chintana that Lord standing before us and one as bimba in our hrudaya is same

After darshan

Do samarpane of Rajrajeshwar gadya

Krishnarpanamastu

In between venkatesh stotra should be recited
